Diapers: CVS and Walgreens

There are some decent deals on diapers this week.

CVS:

Buy $15 worth of CVS baby products, get $5 ECB.

Deal Idea:

2 packs of CVS brand diapers ($12)
1 pack CVS wipes ($2)
1 lotion ($2)

Total: $16
Use: $2/$10 CVS brand purchase (these were on a tearpad by the front)
Use: $2/cvs skincare (from the beauty handbook)

Total after coupons: $12
Total - 5 ECB: $7

Walgreens:

Buy 3 Walgreens brand diapers @ $5.99
Use coupon for $5/2 from July Easysaver.
Total will be 10.47 after coupon. (It will take 2.50 off for each pack.
You will also get a $5 register reward.
So that is like paying $5.47 for 3 packs of diapers.

Wow, that is a great deal for CVS! I am new to this. Could you please tell me what a tearpad is at the front? I have seen this on a couple of blogs and wondered what it is. Thanks for your help.

They had them awhile ago on the table at the front. This may vary by location. I have lots of extras I probably won't use. If you are nearby you can have one of mine. Or if you are new to CVS, sign up for e-mail alerts and you will receive a $4/$20 coupon. Then you could just add $4 more to your purchase to make it to $20. HTH

Thanks so much for explaining it. I just got my CVS card 2 weeks ago. The tearpads are probably gone. I did go to CVS and signed up for e-mail alerts and received my $4/$20 coupon. I am thrilled with that! When you received yours is it just an email from CVS that you print out the whole email? That is what mine is. Thanks for your reply.

Yes, print out the whole e-mail. Also, if your store has a scanner you can scan your card and have coupons printed. Sometimes you will get $3/$10 cvs coupons or other coupons that you can combine with a manufacturers coupon. Happy shopping!

Thanks, I will print it out. What kind of a scanner are you talking about that you can scan your card and have coupons printed? I'm so sorry for all the questions. Thanks for taking your time to answer them.

Some stores have red scanners in their stores, but the thing is they're in a different place in each store. Ask a worker when you go in if they have one and where it is.

Thanks so much, The Whatcott Farm! I'll ask when I go this week!

I have another question, LOL, all the bloggers are saying about coupons in the insert, what does that mean? Also, I don't see any of the coupons in my Sunday paper that everyone is saying is in their's. Is that because of the different areas and not everyone gets the same coupons?

It is either because it is from a prior week or you may not get it. Check to see what the date says. Most of us have a coupon stash dated 6 months back. So unless you have been getting the paper all that time, you may not have it. HTH

Thanks so much! I have only been getting the Sunday paper for 2 weeks now. So that explains it.

No problem. Happy shopping!

Also if you live in a smaller town your local paper may not have all the coupons that a bigger city may get. I get the "Big City" paper and not the local sunday paper cas of this.

Also when you do find out where your local cvs' scanner is scan your card every time you go to the store & if you are close enough try to go even if you aren't buying anything cas you'll be surprised (happily) at the cvs crt coupons that print out! I've gotten some great ones that I was able to combine with manf coupons to make a really good deal into a great deal and sometimes a moneymaker!!

I do get the "Big City" paper, but I am going to buy the other "Big City" paper next week and see what they have. We have 2 "Big Cities" near us! Hopefully I will get lucky!

Thanks for the tip about scanning! I'm all for deals and sometimes moneymaking!

Also, if you go to www.taylortownpreview.com you can view the upcoming coupons for the paper. It is based out of Florida, but my coupons are almost always identical. They seem to be pretty standard nationwide. HTH! Happy shopping! :)
