Fry's: Catalina Deals

I bought 4 gallons of shamrock milk and 3 Shamrock sour creams (they were $.68 each after coupon). I don't know how many items you need to trigger it, but I got a $1.00 OYNSO courtesy of Shamrock Farms.

Also, the Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks that have the catalina also qualify for $3.00 off when you buy 15 part. products. Combine these with the chicken noodle/tomato soup ($.50 each) to save even more on the fruit snacks.

Example: Buy 6 fruit snacks, use 3 $.50/2 coupons. Buy 9 soups and use 2 $.40/4 coupons.
You will pay $8.18 after coupons and $3.oo off from promo. Then you will get a $3.50 cataline OYNSO. So, after all coupons, you pay $4.68 for 6 fruit snacks and 9 cans of soup!

Don't forget to do the powerade zero. Buy 6 at .50 each and get $4 OYNSO. That is a $1.00 money maker or more if you have coupons!

Sunday's Coupons + Electrasol

There were lots of great coupons in Sunday's papers.

The Fiber One and the Carribou Bar coupons will most likely be free if they go on sale soon.

The Pizza Crust often goes on sale for $10, so those will be good ones.

The $.50/1 Kid's Yoplait is good. They are usually $2.99 at Fry's, sometimes less. But my daughter LOVES her Dora yogurt so we always buy it. At least it will be less for a while!

The Electrasol $2.25/1 q will make a great deal at Wal-Mart or Target (YMMV). Check out the price at your local store, but it is usually less than $3.00. Otherwise, Fry's sometimes has these go on sale for $2.99. Time to stock up! Walgreen's has had these on sale before too, but I usually just buy mine at Target. Let me know what prices you see on these at your local stores!

Uses for Sara Lee Bread

I get six Sunday papers, so I was thinking about what I was going to do with all of my FREE bread. They are expiring soon, so I needed to get them. (I can't refuse FREE bread!)

These coupons were in the 8/17 Red Plum insert.
  1. Make ahead PB&J sandwiches. Simply put PB on both sides of the bread and jelly in the middle (this prevents it from going soggy). Put in a sandwich bag and put in the freezer. Just take it out a few hours before you want to eat it. These are just like the Smucker's Uncrustables, but MUCH cheaper. You can also cut them into shapes to make it more fun. My daughter LOVES her Mickey Sandwiches...
  2. Have BLT's (we all have plenty of FREE bacon!)
  3. Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup
  4. Garlic Bread: add garlic and parmesan to butter, spread over bread and broil until slightly toasted.
  5. French Toast
  6. Make your own croutons. Click here for recipes.
  7. Make bread crumbs and freeze for recipes.
  8. Give it away (hey, it was free...)

These are all the ideas I have. Any others?
